Paula Iley

Independent consultant, beyond the lines
Paula Iley works all over the UK and abroad helping schools and educational institutions with providing the literacies of today and the future at KS1-4. Her background is in book publishing and as an LSA then primary school teacher. Her educational consultancy, beyond the lines, offers INSET, advice, courses for teachers and trainee teachers and in-class support, usually with a literacy or G & T focus. She has specialised for some time in teaching G & T students and supporting G & T teachers. She contributed to and helped deliver the secondary schools 'Excellence in Cities' G & T training programme around England, and co-wrote the primary school counterpart. Her books include Using Literacy to Develop Thinking Skills with Children Aged 5-7 and a partner book for children aged 7-11, and Cross-curricular Literacy: How to Do It.
