Approaches to Shakespeare Exploring views on Shakespeare
The field of Shakespeare studies remains a fiercely contested one. Student teachers should be encouraged to recognise this and to be explicit about their own values and positioning. One approach to this is to present them with a variety of perspectives and invite critical readings and responses.
