Writing at Key Stage 2 and 3

Marilyn Mottram

Marilyn is an independent Educational Consultant specialising in developmental work with teachers and schools. Her projects focus on various aspects of teaching and learning and curriculum innovation and include support for and development of teacher action-research. She works as an Associate Advisor with Birmingham local authority, providing CPD for head teachers and teachers and is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Central England - teaching at undergraduate and MA level. Her current research interests include the relationship between the competitive academic curriculum and the work, life interests and cultural and social capital of families in inner-city areas of regeneration. She is also exploring the relationships between teachers as readers and writers in the 21st century, the teaching of reading and the role of children's literature in the classroom.
